Mozambique as a safari destination means a step back into a bygone area.  Offering a wide range of species, a safari in this region is diverse, challenging and rewarding. From the Zambezi Delta in the eastern region to the inland Tete Province bordering Zambia, the habitat ranges from vast swamps to savannah to thick bush.

Mozambique – Tete Province Hunting Area

This is a true wilderness concession spanning 750 000 acres. The safari camp is set alongside a beautiful river and is constructed of reed and canvas. All necessary amenities are provided and although the camp is basic, it is very comfortable and enjoyed by all. Malaria is prevalent and prophylactics should be taken. This areas specialty is without a doubt leopard. Leopard Hunting is best from July until the end of August. As the vegetation dries out visibility improves from mid-august onwards, which is when hunting for plains game and bu8ffalo is best.  A long stretch of Zambezi river frontage near the town of Tete provides some of the finest waters for large crocodile and hippo hunting. Success rate for leopard, Crocodile and hippo is exceptionally high.
