Kudu naturally occur across many regions in South Africa. When hunting kudu, you have the opportunity to experience the variety of all CVS concessions. Choose from or combine the Kalahari, KwaZulu Natal, Far North Limpopo and the Western Limpopo.

Premier Kalahari Concession

kalahari

Situated in the most remote and least populated region of South Africa, our Kalahari Concession spans 240 000 continuous acres, making it the largest single unit hunting block in South Africa. We are privileged to have the exclusive hunting rights to this magical piece of Africa.

Far North Limpopo Concession

The reserve spans almost 50 000 acres of continuous wild Africa, carefully managed to ensure that it maintains its natural ecological integrity. Famous for its massive Baobab trees, the topography varies from bushveld plains to rocky outcrops.

Western Limpopo Concession

This spectacular 25 000-acre wilderness provides unforgettable panoramic views from the camp, which is set on top of a towering rocky outcrop. This is an excellent area to combine with our Kalahari or Zululand areas.

Enquire today about hunting Africa’s most sought-after plains game trophy

Kudu are one of the top plains game trophies. This large antelope is certainly one of the most beautiful, with the males’ distinctively long spiral horns. These horns can range in length from 120cm to over 150cm.

The older bulls with longer horns are known to be particularly sly. With their exceptional senses, they can be very elusive. Kudu bulls tend to form smallish family groups of six to 12 animals, mostly calves and cows. The bull will join the herd during mating season before becoming solitary or joining a bachelor herd once more.

The best way to track one down is to look for spoor around watering holes, since kudu are regular drinkers and are never too far away from water sources. You can also look for kudu in regular feeding areas, then stalk and ambush. Extremely athletic and graceful in flight, the kudu can jump exceptionally high and travel fast through the bush by laying their horns low along their backs.

Although not the easiest antelope to hunt, a kudu trophy is undoubtedly one of the most striking.
