With African lion numbers declining in some regions of Africa (most notably where controlled legal hunting is not permitted) along with more stringent import rules and requirements particularly in the USA, fair chase wild lion hunts in areas where import permits have been approved by USFW have become few and far between! Contrary to popular belief, South Africa is proud to have one of the fastest-growing wild lion populations in Africa. CV Safaris has the exclusive rights to one of the few hunting concessions where USFW have approved the Lion management plan as well as the critically important “proof of enhancement!” This proves without a doubt that CVS and the Concession Management team are committed to conservation based hunting practices which directly enhance and protect wild lion populations! Please note that lion hunts only become available every few years, therefore lion quota is not allocated on an annual basis! 2017 was a landmark year, our Lion import permit was the first one to be approved by USFWS!
