HUNTING TALE
Crocodile, the ‘floating log’
Don’t be fooled by his apparent lethargy when sprawled on the banks of a river. The Nile crocodile’s real character can best be read in his smile. Though prehistoric looking, he is cunning, can move with phenomenal speed and requires caution when approached on foot.

Crocodile Trophies
Distribution
Crocodiles sun themselves in the warm tropics of Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. The Nile crocodile is found throughout sub-Saharan Africa, in the Nile Basin, and rivers in Madagascar.

A large and aggressive species with a dark bronze skin which darkens further as the animal matures, the Nile crocodile’s distinctively broad snout also widens with age. It takes two shots to prevent a crocodile submerging in the water, either to the spinal column behind the head or one straight into the exceedingly tough bone-encased brain.
Best Caliber to hunt crocodiles with is a 375 H&H with 300 gr premium grade soft ammunition. For where we hunt crocodiles its best to have your rifle zeroed at 150 yards. A 300-win mag or similar Caliber will do the trick but anchoring the crocodile to the spot where he is sunning himself is better achieved with a 375 and a follow up shot must come quickly. Our premier crocodile hunting takes place in Mozambique, and we also offer crocodile hunting in Zululand South Africa.
