There’s a good reason the leopard is considered one of the Big 5, despite much larger competition. No predator is more adaptable, more agile, more fierce or more capable. A fearful adversary when wounded, he is likely to charge and is lightning fast over short distances.

We hunt leopards in several areas and countries. Firstly we are anxiously awaiting the reopening of leopard hunting in South Africa, in which case Bambisana Limpopo and Zululand will be our premier areas here. The vast wilderness of Tete Mozambique has provided several of our clients with fabulous leopard trophies. Botswana, although expensive is prime leopard hunting country over bait or with hounds. Tanzania too is a top end destination with excellent success rates. Bets to use a 375H&H with soft ammunition such as Woodleigh’s or Nosler Partition.

Distribution
From mountain forests to arid scrubland and from mountain to coast, leopard are the most adaptable of large African mammals. Once endemic across central and southern Africa, loss of habitat and persecution from farmers has severely impacted populations. Leopard are most at home in semi-grassland with ample game, plenty of trees and rocky areas where they can breed in peace and snooze the day away.

They are efficient hunters, often striking from above and capable of killing animals far larger than themselves and then effortlessly dragging them up an impossible to climb tree away from scavengers below.
