Our trackers, three of whom are 2nd generation in the company are led by Patches who has been employed by CVS for 37 years, making him by all accounts the most experienced tracker in the country! These gentlemen are born and raised in the bush which has honed their skills to extraordinary levels placing them in a league of their own! Our senior trackers are Patches (also a PH), Robbie, Muzi, Jack, Mike and Eliot. Tracking and skinning is an art which has been perfected by these men. - Coenraad Vermaak was the first officially licensed Professional Hunter in South Africa.
- Coenraad guided his first safari in 1968.
- Coenraad is a founder member of the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa and served as its Vice President for 15 years.
- Coenraad formed one of the first ever conservancies in South Africa.
- Coenraad was one of the first ranchers to introduce wild rhino onto his property.
- Hans Vermaak served on the board of PHASA for 14 years, 2 of which he served as the Association’s President in 2012 & 2013!
- Coenraad & Hans Vermaak have both served as Vice Presidents of the International Professional Hunters Association (IPHA) at different times.
- Coenraad was the first ever recipient of the PHASA “Uncle Stevie” Trophy of the Year Award in 1986.

- Mpahleni Madonsela, better known as Patches, became one of South Africa’s first active black Professional Hunters.
- Coenraad has been an Honorary Officer of the Natal Parks Board and Ezemvelo Wildlife since 1974.
- PH Darren Baker was awarded the Trophy of the Year in 2008 for an enormous leopard he guided.
- Clive Curtis (CVS Senior PH) was awarded the Basie Maartens Professional Hunter of the Year Award in 2014.
- In 2014 Robert Mdlolo, Hans’s tracker since 1996, won the Tracker of the Year award. He was the first recipient of this award!

- In 2023 CVS acquired Bambisana Limpopo as an exclusive destination for CVS clients. Spanning over 40 000 acres with a variety of habitats and topography this area offers over 33 huntable species from Buffalo to grysbok and to top it off, the accommodations, service and cuisine are out of the ordinary.
